Who to call in Ontario
- ConnexOntario takes calls at 1-866-531-2600, confidential and open 24 hours a day. You can also text CONNEX to 247247 or chat at connexontario.ca.
- A casino break through My PlayBreak, the OLG program, keeps a person out of every Ontario casino for 3 or 6 months or 1 to 5 years. The length is fixed once picked; enrolment goes through the OLG Support Centre on 1-800-387-0098, through staff at any casino, or through a PlaySmart Centre.
- OLG's Virtual PlaySmart Centre answers at 1-833-888-2306 seven days a week, from 11 am to 7 pm. In OLG casinos, PlaySmart Centres are run with the Responsible Gambling Council.
- BetGuard at betguard.ca closes every regulated Ontario gambling site to you in one step, OLG.ca among them. Pick 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or your own length; casinos you walk into sit outside it.
A plan before supper
Since every casino game carries a built-in house edge, a player's expected result across an evening is a loss. Before supper, decide two things: how much you are willing to lose and what time you will go. Factor in the drive home when choosing that hour. When you hit either limit, the evening at the tables ends. Anyone under 19 is barred from entering or staying in an Ontario casino, staff at work excepted.
How the Bay Hours desk works
The Bay Hours desk writes and signs Bay Hours as a group. Pages carry no personal byline, and no author is named anywhere on the site. The young woman shown in the photographs is an image-generator creation made for this guide. She is not a real person or a member of staff, and no picture was taken at the casino.
The facts were checked on October 14, 2026, against Great Canadian Entertainment's pages for the casino and its guest code of conduct. Other sources were OLG, the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, the City of Belleville and OpenStreetMap. Each distance is a straight map line, shorter than any road, and every hour is Belleville local time.
Nothing is collected from readers. The site has no forms or accounts and keeps only the light or dark theme choice in the browser tab.
